Domesticando Mi Motorola w385, parte 2

18 04 2008

  3. Sigan estas instrucciones:

“I guess, as far as I have gotten, to ‘hack’ the phone you will need to obtain a version of Moto Phone Tools – version 4.36 or earlier. Then, when installed, auto-update UP TO BUT NOT PAST version 4.36. I went from 3.x to make sure it was earlier. Works fine.

Once you have this done, it’s pretty straightforward. When you go into MPT it will ask you to setup a phone. Go through the steps and when it can’t recognize the phone instead of choosing to download a new list of phones and retry, hit ‘cancel’.

It should then ask if you want to pick and add your phone manually – say yes. On the next screen, make sure to check the little “Don’t detect my drivers – pick them from a list” box.

When given the list, after clicking ‘next’, choose ‘Motorola CDMA’ on the left side, and then choose ‘V6c’ on the right. Click next or finish or whatever, and when it is done you will be able to use your phone correctly (for the most part) with MPT. Some things in the MultiMedia Studio section don’t work, like the picture or animation manager, but you can do everything with just file transfers”.
